Tzedakah

On erev Shabbat, Jewish men empty their pockets of loose change in a form of tzedakah, or giving. Every Jewish home has a pushke, a box for gathering these coins. When the box is full, it is taken to the synagogue where it is emptied into the Congregation's pushke (offeratory box) and used to support Israel, add to funds for widows and orphans, and other charities.  It is this giving which has made Israel the nation it is as well as constantly reminded Americans to support Israel.

Our forms of tzedakah include supporting various charities and ministry outreaches including Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI), the MJAA, the Joseph Storehouse, educational venues for children, and other charities as we are able.

We particularly enjoy working with Congregations and sewing / quilting groups within Congregations to create memorable items.

Do let us know of any particularly worthy causes, for we are always looking for another form of tzedakah.
